Start your engines! NASCAR race weekend starts May 31, 2019 – June 2, 2019 and we’ve lined up a nonstop itinerary for action-packed adventure.

In the spirit of adrenaline and excitement, we’ve covered entertaining activities everyone can enjoy. Read on for ways to experience the Pocono Mountains NASCAR weekend.


Friday: On Your Marks...

Morning: Kids of all ages will enjoy an exciting morning at Pocono Rocks! Lace your sneakers up at 9 a.m. sharp, and conquer the bounce house, boulder climbing wall and a ninja warrior course.

Afternoon: Keep the fun going at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions indoor waterpark. Whether relaxing in the lazy river or racing down the slides, the country’s largest indoor waterpark has day passes for sale to the public.

Grab some grub at the waterpark or head down the road to Van Gilder's Jubilee Restaurant. You’ll find American style eats that’ll satisfy your hunger any meal of the day.

Evening: Wind down and catch the latest showings at the Casino Theatre Entertainment Center. You can even order dinner at the onsite malt shoppe and eat in the theater while you enjoy your movie. Save room for ice cream sodas, shakes, and sundaes!

Pocono Raceway has infield camping for all preferences from tents to RVs. Other campgrounds close by the track include Peaceful Woodlands Family Campground, Four Seasons Campground and Hemlock Campground & Cottages.

Friday at the Track: Events kick off at Pocono Raceway Friday with free admission for children 12 and under all weekend long. On-track events include Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series practices and qualifying, NASCAR Xfinity Series practices, ARCA Qualifying and the General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200 ARCA race. The Infield Block Party starts at 5 p.m. and is free to camping guests.


Saturday: Get Set...

Morning: Double dip in the salty sweet goodness of Callie’s Candy Kitchen and Pretzel Factory. Both shops open at 10 a.m. and are located just a few miles from each other, so you can stock up on snacks!

Afternoon: Have the need for speed? S&S Speedways - Indoor Go-Karts are a sure-fire way to get the adrenaline flowing. With safety requirements, the track provides an opportunity to channel your inner Junior.

Refuel at local eateries like Barley Creek Brewing Company, Smuggler's Cove Restaurant, and Pocono Brewery Company.

Evening: If you have yet to experience an escape room, don’t miss your chance. With differing options like Trap Door Escape Room, Klues Escape Room, Escape It! and Wrath of Anibus, you can choose from zombie getaways to mythical breakouts.

Check into nearby places to stay like The Village at Pocono, Mountaintop Lodge at Lake Naomi, Carriage House or Pocono Manor Resort & Spa

Saturday at the Track: Saturday events include Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series practices NASCAR Xfinity Series qualifying and the Pocono Green 250 NASCAR Xfinity Series race. The Infield Block Party starts at 5 p.m. and is free to camping guests; don’t miss the fireworks starting around 9 p.m.


Sunday: GO! Race Day

Morning: Pocono Raceway pulls out all the stops during race weekend. With activities and Fan Fair opening at 8 a.m., don’t miss out on the entertainment, food and drink vendors and children’s activities! Driver meet and greets, Q&A sessions and garage tours are also happening throughout the day.

Afternoon: If you’re arriving fashionably late, The Pocono 400 starts at 2 p.m. on June 2, 2019. We’ve mentioned kids have free admission during race weekend, and that’s because there are a ton of activities to enjoy. Children can visit the Kids Zone in Fan Fair, enjoy fun and games, get special perks from the Kids Club and could even get to meet Tricky the Fox, the raceway’s mascot.

Evening: Anything left on your Poconos wish list? Do some last-minute shopping at The Crossings Premium Outlets, hiking to waterfalls at our parks or touring of our historic downtowns. The choice is yours!
