Grab your gear and get to the Pocono Mountains. It’s officially ski season! All six of the Pocono Mountains ski areas will be open by Saturday, and each one is offering something new for the season.

New this season: Increased rental inventory and newly refurbished lodges enhance the guest experience at Big Boulder.

Jack Frost & Big Boulder Ski Areas


Blue Mountain Resort

New this season: Blue Mountain boasts expanded terrain-based learning facilities and a new “Winter Adventure Camp” for intermediate and advanced skiers and boarders. The crew upgraded their point of sale system, and acquired a lumber mill to turn fallen trees into terrain park elements.

Camelback Mountain

New this season: Camelback Mountain unveils its Galactic Snowtubing park on December 17, 2016. This after-dark tubing experience features laser-lit lanes and an amazing LED light show. Also new to the tubing park is the Base Camp Lode, where tickets and refreshments can be purchased.

New this season: More SMI snow guns mean better conditions at Jack Frost Mountain. The rental shop has more high-performance gear, and the restaurant is bigger and better.

New this season: Big things are happening at Shawnee Mountain. A multi-year, multi-million-dollar upgrade project is transforming snowmaking. Other improvements include new ski, board and boot rentals, and new timing equipment for the NASTAR program.
