Appalachian Trail Thru-Hiker Presentation
The friends of Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area are pleased to announce that Glenn Justis, a thru-hiker of the Appalachian National Scenic Trail, will speak about his experience on Thursday, July 25 at 6:30pm. New Jersey resident Glenn Justis stepped onto the trail at Springer Mountain, GA on January 30, 2018 and started walking north, following the soon-to-be familiar white rectangles that blaze the route. Through 14 states and 2,190.9 miles, he experienced everything the A.T. has to offer. After 145 days on the trail, Glenn reached the summit of Mt. Katahdin in Maine at 8:40 am on June 23, 2018, and completed the journey of a lifetime. This is your opportunity to meet a “thru-hiker” and listen to some of his favorite tales from the trail.
