Lectures at Lock House 16
Join Pike County Historical Society for a lecture about the history of the Delaware and Hudson Canal and Gravity Railroad. The D&H Canal made its way through Pennsylvania from the coal mines of Carbondale and along the Lackawaxen River. S. Robert Powell, PhD., and author of several books about the Canal and Gravity Railroad, will provide the lecture and the Pike County Historical Society will serve up the burgers and dogs, potato salad and Aunt Betty's Baked Beans at an old fashioned BBQ. This event will take place at Lock House 16 in Glen Eyre, PA. Come enjoy this lecture along what was once the towpath of the D&H aside the rushing, beautiful Lackawaxen River. This is an outdoor event. Bring your own lawn chair and spend a lovely afternoon with your friends in history.
