Reading and Understanding Food Labels
How are cheezy curls “All-Natural?” What makes milk “low fat?” This free wellness course will focus on food labels and how you can read them to better understand what you are actually eating. Participants will examine ingredients, nutrition facts, serving size, percent daily value (DV), and calories per serving. Participants will also explore packaging, sneaky marketing techniques, and seals that are displayed on food products. Admission is free with online registration. Participants will be asked to wear masks when moving about the area, and exercise social distancing at all times. Sanitizer available on site.
