Hawley Winterfest

Email us your Winterfest activities! Are you hosting a holiday open house? Having a concert? Running a special holiday sale? Have cookies and hot cocoa for shoppers? Special holiday drink or dining selections? The DHP is looking for members or organizations that are hosting an activity or event during Winterfest on Friday, December 8 through Sunday, December 10, 2023.

Hawley Borough and all Winterfest 2022 visitors enjoyed a special holiday treat: the Arcadia Chorale Concert held on Friday, December 9 at Hawley United Methodist Church at 315 Church Street.

The Annual Winterfest Beer Tour is one of the most popular events at Winterfest. It’s a great way to experience many of the different, wonderful restaurants and pubs in the area. Make sure you grab a little grub along with your beer flight (or two) and get a taste of Hawley!

2023 Beer Tour locations will be posted in mid-November 2023.

The Beer Tour will run from December 1-10, 2023. Each participating establishment came up with a Winterfest specialty drink. At your first stop, make sure you grab a Beer Tour Card and get that bar to stamp your card. Over the course of 10 days, collect stamps from different establishments, then visit the DHP office at 519 Church Street in Hawley. Stop by anytime December 8-10, 2023 between 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. to exchange your completed tour card for one of our commemorative Beer Tour pint glasses! Please note: glasses will only available on the dates listed above.

Get ready to show off your decorating skills and festive spirit by joining in some holiday fun. Whether you prefer a simple wreath, traditional display, can’t get enough giant inflatables, or decide to channel your inner Clark Griswold, all displays are welcome.

Enter your home or business in the 2023 Hawley Winterfest Holiday Display Contest. Information coming soon.

Participants are encouraged to be original, colorful and imaginative with their use of lights, seasonal characters, scenes and decorations.

Who loves the Winterfest Parade? Taking place Saturday, December 9, 2023, the parade route will run from Spring Street to Bingham Park along Main Avenue (Route 6).

There is no entry fee to participate: come one, come all! Groups, organizations, family units, church groups, musical groups, animal groups, everyone is welcome.

Please note: no Santas are allowed on participant floats. Santa already has us marked on his calendar and will ride on the Borough Float.

Join in the fun at Bingham Park with Santa, a bonfire, caroling, and hot chocolate in the band stand immediately following the parade.

Winterfest Trees for a Cause Decorating Contest is sponsored by the Downtown Hawley Partnership in cooperation with The Hawley Hub and Black & Brass Coffee Co. during Hawley Winterfest.

Everyone is invited to participate in decorating a Tree for a Cause (Cause/Charity/Non-Profit). Trees will be on display at The Hawley Hub from December 1-10, 2023. More details will be coming soon.

Each participant will show off their tree decorating skills and compete to raise money for their select cause. All participants are encouraged to share their tree via social media.
