Delaware State Forest
Discover the Delaware State Forest.
80,056 acres, more than 100 miles of trails, over 5,000 acres of natural areas and beautiful vistas. Hiking, snowmobiling, picnicking and other activities are popular here. There are 13 lakes and ponds within the Delaware State Forest; six are glacial. Many clear mountain streams originate in the forest and tumble down to the Delaware River over stunning waterfalls. Streams provide excellent trout fishing while warm water fishing is good at many of the lakes and ponds. Catch views of Stairway and Savantine Falls on your way to the Forest. The cascades can be seen just off Route 6 - no hiking required.Back to Top
