Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area - Beach
Soak up the sun at Milford or Smithfield Beach!
Update: There will be no lifeguards on duty in the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area in 2020. Swim at your own risk. Always wear your life jacket on and in the water. Visit the website for more information.
Take a dip in the Delaware River! Milford and Smithfield Beaches are open to the public for swimming and recreation. Beach fees are charged April through October. Restroom and picnic facilities are available, but dogs and alcohol are prohibited. Swimming elsewhere is not recommended, as strong currents, sharp drop-offs, and constantly changing river conditions make many areas unsafe for swimming.
