Equinunk Historical Society & Museum
Leashed pets are welcome at the Equinunk Historical Society's Calder House Museum and select society-sponsored events throughout the year.The Equinunk Historical Society maintains the Joel Hill Water-Powered Sawmill and the Calder House Museum. The Joel Hill Sawmill is a working, 1850s water-powered sawmill with scheduled demonstrations five times per year. The Calder House Museum features permanent and rotating exhibits including textiles and farm equipment. The Museum is open May through October Wednesdays and Fridays 2 to 4 pm and Saturdays 12 to 4 pm Memorial Day through Columbus Day. It adds Sundays from 12 to 4 pm in July and August. The Museum is also open year-round by appointment for genealogical and historical research. There is a gift shop on site.
