Summary: The Line Cook requirements are as follows: cleaning the kitchens, taking out boxes and trash, basic knife prep, dry storage and walk-in space organization and the use of heavy machines and cooking equipment. This position requires basic knife skills and the ability to operate light machinery like slicers, blenders and robo coupes. It will also require the skill of sandwich making, salad making, dressings and cold sauces. This position can include simple cooking skills such as deep frying and reheating items. The Line Cook prepares food that meets current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations by following established policies and procedures and ensures that safe and high quality food service is provided at all times. This position requires the ability to lift 50lbs or more and have the availability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
