The Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor
Breathtaking scenery, natural resources and scars from the coal and lumber industries coexist. This mountainous region is known as a mecca for high-quality outdoor recreation. River rafting, mountain biking, kayaking, canoeing, hiking, hunting, camping, fishing, golf, downhill and cross-country skiing are found in numerous resorts, state game lands, rails-to-trails, state, county and municipal parks. The Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor's D&L Trail runs 37 miles through the Poconos' Carbon County from Rockport to Palmerton.
