Wallenpaupack Lake Trail - Hiking
See the sights around beautiful Lake Wallenpaupack!
The Wallenpaupack Lake Trail is a gentle, three-mile trip along the Big Lake. The packed gravel path is an out-and-back route that heads over the dike and past the Lake Wallenpaupack Visitors Center. Park in the lot near the intersection of Routes 6 and 507 to take this easy, lakeside walk. Extend your adventure by picking up the Wallenpaupack Creek Trail, which you’ll meet at the turnaround point near the Wallenpaupack Environmental Education Center. The forested, 1.2-mile Wallenpaupack Creek Trail is another easy walk ideal for wildlife viewing. The Wallenpaupack Creek Trail is closed in the winter months; the Lake Trail is open year-round.
