Trout Lake was created in the early 1900s for the ice harvesting industry that existed before refrigeration. Throughout the grounds, you will see evidence of this rich history, including the magnificent stone foundations that once supported the five-story wooden ice houses.

Easy To Find

Trout Lake is easy to find and is only minutes from interstate 80, routes 611 and 715 in the Pocono Mountains of northeastern Pennsylvania. We are conveniently located only 1.5 hours from New York City and 2 hours from Philadelphia. An easy, picturesque drive from anywhere in the northeast, our venue is situated alongside a stunning private 100-acre lake. Available September through May, the beauty of the Poconos is always on display at Trout Lake.
