Pocono Axe Works

Perfect for a cold or rainy day, take aim at Pocono Axe Works for some indoor fun.

From brews to bullseyes, Bri & Dee stop by Wallenpaupack Brewing Company before heading to the BYOB-friendly Pocono Axe Works for a fun afternoon in the Lake Wallenpaupack region!

“Our original business, Sculpted Ice Works, makes ice blocks and carves them into sculptures for ice festivals across the tri-state, such as Winterfest in downtown Stroudsburg. During COVID, there weren’t any festivals due to not being able to have gatherings. So, the owner, Mark Crouthamel, offset that by founding Pocono Axe Works. We started in the barn and people wore masks. Pocono Axe Works and Sculpted Ice Works are now in the same building and share the same property,” explained Laura Borer, Pocono Axe Works.

After checking in and signing a waiver, your ‘axe-pert’ reviews safety and helps you find your throw.

Pocono Axe Works also offered glow-in-the-dark axe throwing and fun games like Jenga, mini pool and air hockey, cornhole, and more.

“Axe throwing is fun to do alone, as a couple, or with a large group. We’ve hosted birthday parties, anniversaries, and other events such as baby showers,” Laura said.
