Ski season in the Poconos typically runs from early December through early March.

Snow tubing and snowshoeing are easy-to-learn winter activities that do not require prior experience! Pocono snow tubing parks provide the snow tubes and dedicated chutes to glide down, while outfitters like Naturfi will provide you with everything you need for a snowshoe experience. These activities are the perfect way to go at a slower pace and discover a different side of the snowy landscape. Don't forget to bundle up to stay warm!

Bundle up in warm, waterproof or water-resistant layers when you're heading out to enjoy the snow! Don't forget layers to keep warm, snow boots, warm socks, snow pants and jacket, hat, gloves, and scarf or neck warmer. Don't forget a ski helmet and goggles as you hit the slopes!

Thanks to advanced snowmaking techniques, the six ski areas in the Poconos are able to make their own snow as long as the temperatures are low enough.
