Adventure

There's no shortage of fresh air and exhilarating outdoor experiences in the Jim Thorpe area.

Jim Thorpe is bordered by Lehigh Gorge State Park which can be accessed via the Mansion House pedestrian bridge right near the train station downtown. The Delaware & Lehigh National Heritage Corridor, known as the D&L Trail, also runs right through town, following the twists and turns of the Lehigh River. Trails and waterways beckon, and a wide variety of open-air adventures await within the park, including hiking, biking and whitewater rafting. Looking for some out-of-the-ordinary adrenaline? Try paintball or archery in the area.

Check back on June 13, 2024 when this blog will be updated. Boasting over 6,000 acres of natural beauty and a rich history, Lehigh Gorge State Park is an ideal destination for summer outdoor adventure, located just a two-hour drive from major cities like Philadelphia and New York.
