Coming Soon to Great Wolf Lodge

From new family suites and restaurants to outdoor and indoor waterpark upgrades, learn more about new additions to Great Wolf Lodge in the Poconos!

One of the biggest single draws to the Pocono Mountains is about to get even bigger. Construction crews are building onto Great Wolf Lodge, the waterpark resort just a short drive from Philadelphia and New York.

"A drive to destination was what people were seeking, and we’re riding that sweet spot," said Great Wolf's CEO Murray Hennessy.

Great Wolf's top dog made the trip for the announcement which includes a 200-room tower of family suites and a new restaurant experience called "Fireside."

The indoor waterpark is getting new slides too and the outdoor pool is also getting an upgrade all with the idea that this is the place where families can strengthen their pack.

Families like the Sharpes from Rochester who have been visiting Great Wolf Lodge in Scotrun since 2010 and the kids have been growing up at the resort year after year.

“It's super exciting. It's fun how they did the tipping buckets with sand like a waterfall. I can't believe how big it's going to be," said Lori Sharpe.

The expansion is in addition to 30 Woodland Villas already announced which will bring the resort's room count to more than 600.

"Because of Great Wolf Lodge, we credit the resurgence of the Pocono Mountains and we are so grateful to them because we are in an upswing in a big way," said Chris Barrett, President/CEO of the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau.

And the Great Wolf family is banking on families like the Sharpes to keep coming, plus many more families like them.

"We feel at home," added Lori Sharp. "We feel this is our second family. We're on vacation but we haven't left home."
