  • Trying to find out when do the leaves start to change color in Pennsylvania? While every year is slightly different depending on the weather and rainfall, the leaves in Pennsylvania usually begin their transformation in the middle of September, with colors on the northern end of the commonwealth starting to show earliest. The PA fall foliage intensifies and typically reaches its peak in early October for the northernmost regions and late October for the southernmost regions.

  • In northeastern Pennsylvania where the Poconos region is located, the trees typically begin to put on their fall colors in mid-September, reaching their most vibrant hues in early to mid-October.
