Day Trip to Spa Kalahari & Salon in the Poconos

Find out why our impressive indoor waterpark resorts aren’t just for kids as the PTN team gets pampered at Spa Kalahari and Salon!

Kalahari Resorts is not just for the kids! Pocono Television Network followed host Deanna Fontanez and her friend Kathleen as they enjoyed a relaxing and zen girls’ getaway to show you Kalahari offerings that adults will love.

It’s that time of year to renew and reset. Spa Kalahari is a world-class spa, and their services are tailored to relax and rejuvenate your mind, body and spirit. Assistant General Manager Erling Acosta shared, “Spa Kalahari and Salon is a can’t-miss destination when you are visiting us”.  We agree! They have a large variety of amazing treatments like massages, facials, manicures and pedicures, but they also have services that offer not only relaxation but health benefits too such as their halotherapy and hydrotherapy experiences. The halotherapy salt room contains pure organic Himalayan salt and a high quality halogenerator to turn the pure salt into the salt vapor that provides so many health benefits like support to your immune system, help with respiratory issues, and healthier skin. Hydrotherapy helps guests to sit back and unwind as water treatments increase energy and improve body awareness. Spa Kalahari also has a dry redwood sauna, steam room, jetted tub and a multi-sensory experiential shower along with lounge seating in their relaxation sanctuary.

The resort also has exquisite dining options with four amazing restaurants to choose from: B-Lux Grill & Bar, Cinco Ninos, Double Cut Steak House and Sortino’s Italian Kitchen. Deanna and Kathleen were in the mood for Italian, so they decided to try Sortino’s, as Erling said it was one of his favorites. Sortino’s will satisfy your appetite with authentic flavors of Italy and the warmth of family. They made us feel right at home, and the food was exceptional. From one to the next, every bite full of flavor.

Of course, every trip has to end with dessert, and the perfect sweet spot at Kalahari is right in the lobby at Last Bite: their treats did not disappoint. If you’re still in the mood for a little more fun, you can also check out Kalahari’s indoor waterpark, which is one of the largest waterparks in the country. They have a swim up bar, “The Grotto,” which is a perfect addition to any adult escape.

Kalahari Resorts is an excellent destination for a couple’s getaway with a loved one, a girls’ getaway with some of your closest friends, or just a day trip. We asked Erling what guests who want to come check out the resort for the day but not stay over can expect. He said, “They can visit not only our spa but also our waterpark. They can get day passes and stay at the waterpark and “play for day” as we call it. They can also visit any of our signature restaurants, and you don’t have to stay at the resort.”

Make sure to add Kalahari Resorts to your list of must-visit destinations in the Poconos!
