S&S Speedways

Take a ride at S&S Speedways for the ultimate indoor go-kart experience.

Deanna Fontanez invites viewers to buckle up for nonstop fun as she steps inside S&S Speedways, the indoor go-kart destination where speed, energy and excitement fill the building no matter the season.

New owner Brian Ace developed a passion for racing early in life. “I started when I was thirteen years old. I started racing ATV motocross, and then I decided to go from motocross to a flat track racing type… still on the four-wheeler side of it,” he explains. He raced from age thirteen to thirty-five and says he loved not only the sport but “the camaraderie, the community, all of that.” So, when the opportunity came to take on S&S Speedways, he couldn’t resist. “I mean, it’s S&S Speedways. Come on. Who doesn’t have fun here, right?” he says, grateful to now run a place that brings so much joy.

Transitioning from motocross to indoor karting was a new world, but he shares that the rhythm feels familiar. In motocross, the prep took all week for just one or two bikes; now he preps sixteen cars, "could be up to three per day depending on how rough the crowds are.” Still, that effort fuels the same excitement. “My passion is still there for racing, whether it’s go-karts, dirt bikes, four-wheelers, NASCAR, it’s racing,” he says, noting how the sport has connected him with great people over the years. Even some of the kart numbers carry meaning for him. While many are chosen by sponsors, others, like the 3, 454, 338, 21 and 424, belong to racers Brian once traveled with. “I put their numbers on these cars… I can kind of look out and see their numbers still,” he shares, adding that those memories remain a special part of his story.

What truly stands out to him, though, is the reactions from guests the moment they walk inside. “No one knows what to expect when they walk through these doors and they see it and their faces light up,” he says. Even from the garage he can hear the excitement when racers finish their laps, laughing, cheering and carrying that energy all the way to the parking lot.

As a father, the experience means even more, because he now sees his own passion reflected in his young son. “He’s here every day with me, and for eight years old he can wheel one of these actually really good,” Brian says with pride. Sharing his love of racing with his son, with customers and with the employees who make the place run is something he describes as “really second to none.”

S&S Speedways has become a favorite go-to spot for birthday parties, corporate events, bachelor and bachelorette outings or simply a fun night out, and with hours Tuesday through Sunday plus thorough safety instructions before each race, it’s an adventure anyone can enjoy. So, grab your friends and get ready to race!
