August in the Poconos is prime time for fairs and festivals. The whole month is full of county fairs all across the four counties, including starting here in Honesdale, Wayne County for the Wayne County Fair, now in its 162nd year.

Running the same week, the Carbon County Fair in Palmerton also has a big focus on agriculture, food rides and entertainment.

Later in August, starting the 18th, the West End Fair kicks off for a week of fun now in its 102nd year.

And capping off fair season in the Poconos, the Greene Dreher Sterling Fair in Newfoundland leading up to Labor Day weekend.
