Snow tubing is a popular winter activity in the Poconos, but did you know you can enjoy it in the warmer months? That’s right, snow tubing isn’t just for the snow, it’s here in the sunshine too!

In 2013, Pocono Mountain Villas by Exploria Resorts in Bushkill, PA created Blue Lightning to complement their popular winter snow tubing, White Lightning, which includes six lanes and a magic carpet lift to the top.

“Blue Lightning is pretty much the same as White Lighting, minus the snow. The magic carpet is the same and we use the same type of tube. I tried it myself for the first time this past Easter, and it was a blast,” smiled William Dillon, VP of Sales.

You don’t have to be an overnight guest to use Blue Lightning or Exploria’s other amenities, including horseback riding at Bushkill Riding Stables, Pocono Hills Golf Course, aerial ropes courses at Pocono TreeVentures, and the Warehouse Tavern & Grill.

“Exploria Resorts has multiple locations including New Smyrna, Daytona, and Summer Bay Orlando. Our location here in the Poconos is centrally located whether you’re coming from New York, are driving in from the south, or are local,” Dillon explained.

Blue Lightning is open any time White Lightning is not, including spring and fall. It’s a great activity not just for families, but also team building.

“Visitors will literally take a trip to the Poconos not just for skiing or snowboarding, but for snow tubing. An outdoor facility in the summer is great for families to have the same kind of fun as they do in the winter,” Dillon added.
