Valley View Farm & Venue in the Poconos
Discover the Charm of Valley View Farm and Venue
JIM: I’m stepping out here on the balcony of an old farmhouse in the Pocono Mountains, which can sleep up to 14 guests. Those guests might be the bride and groom and their family at Valley View Farm & Venue north of Honesdale. This huge property has been recently renovated to host family events like weddings, reunions, and anniversaries. It's gorgeous from way up high and even down low here. So come along for a tour of Valley View Farm & Venue."
"I love it. And what I love the most, besides the building and the barn, are the outdoor spaces and the garden. So I am the landscaper, the weed picker, the planter, and of course, I have amazing help,” said owner Marion Hunsberger.
It's easy to see why Hunsberger fell in love with what would become Valley View Farm & Venue, and why couples—either starting their lives together or celebrating milestones—are choosing this spot for special moments.
"And you could just see not just the visual beauty, but the serenity and the calm that every season brings. We have phenomenal neighbors, and everywhere you look, it's a feast for the eyes."
The entire property has been designed for weddings, celebrations, and creating core memories that last a lifetime. Maintained as a farm in Wayne County, the owners have thought of every detail.
"We have an orchard with 120 apple, peach, and pear trees available to our guests. We also have about 120 chickens that range in the orchard, providing eggs. We have a bar, a second-floor ballroom, and a barn addition that includes a catering kitchen, groom space, and a third floor for bridal readiness. We hope brides 'ooh' and 'ah' and want to spend time here,” she added.
JIM: We are going to get a tour of Valley View Farm & Venue right now. These artworks, welcoming guests, are from local artists in Wayne County and are for sale. They add a flavor of the area and its culture. This state-of-the-art kitchen allows caterers to make all the food here, making it so much better."
DARLA:
"So around every corner, there’s a beautiful space for the wedding parties and guests. This room is mainly for cocktail hour if the bride and groom choose to have it inside. A lot of pictures are taken here because of the good lighting."
DARLA:
"So this is the ballroom. It features high ceilings, gorgeous wood floors, and air conditioning to accommodate any weather. It can fit 125 people. My daughter will be getting married here next year. We’re so excited and thankful."
DARLA:
"This floor is for the groom and his groomsmen. There’s a nice spot for snacks and a place to take the edge off with a few cocktails."
DARLA
"This floor is for the bride and her ladies, and moms. It’s bright and airy for makeup application, like a beauty parlor. Their hair and makeup people can spend almost the whole day here."
DARLA:
"Outside the barn, there’s even more space with some of the best views for cocktail hours or ceremonies. They can get married under the tree and then come up here for cocktails, moving to the ballroom after. It's a gorgeous venue."
And remember, that farmhouse at Valley View Farm & Venue? It offers the full package with all the space you need for relaxing, recharging, celebrating, and making memories with loved ones.
"We have one wedding a weekend, which allows families to celebrate fully with love, commitment, and togetherness. We’re very proud of it,” said Hunsberger.
