POCONO MOUNTAINS, Pa., March 3, 2015 – Recognizing creative excellence in advertising, public relations and digital marketing, The Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI), the leading international organization of hospitality marketing professionals, has honored the Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau with an Adrian Award for the #TakeONPocono campaign.
This year’s Adrian Awards were presented before an audience of hospitality and tourism industry leaders on February 23 in New York City. Spotlighting exceptional achievements from across the globe, the annual event is the world’s largest advertising, digital marketing and public relations competition in the travel industry.
The #TakeONPocono social media campaign, launched in 2013, was also recognized by the National Park Service at the Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, when the campaign was presented the Beacon Award from the American Recreation Coalition last summer. The campaign continues to run, encouraging visitors to share their photos on Instagram using the hashtag. Weekly prizes are given out for the best photos.
