Pocono Profile: Blue Mountain Resort

It's no secret; the Poconos is our name and adventure is our game. And if you haven’t yet visited Blue Mountain Resort, trust us, you’ll want to. 

Our year-round destination offers much more than breathtaking sceneries, and Blue Mountain Resort has one of the best. Being the state’s highest vertical, the view is just the beginning. With mountain events, activities, entertainment and food, there’s something for everyone to experience. Read on for ways to enjoy your trip.

Summit Aerial Park

Experience airborne activities at the Summit Aerial Park. This aerial ropes course offers an assortment of obstacles like zip lines and floating planks. With various levels of difficulty, everyone from beginner to expert will have a blast. If you’re up for more, try conquering the course after dark with night time zip and climb!

New this year is the Adventure Tower. Blue Mountain’s latest attraction is a two-sided tower complete with a rock climbing wall, cargo net obstacles and dual zip lines. A kid-friendly area is available around the side. Also located next to the Summit Aerial Park is the action archery, scenic lift rides and outdoor laser tag. Interested in even more aerial escapades? Downhill Mountain Biking

Through the trees, atop the highest peak in Pennsylvania lies Downhill Mountain Biking. Here, you can ride the lift-service to the top of the mountain, and careen down the trails. From dirt paths to rocky jumps, choose from 24 different trails to conquer the mountain.

If you have your own bike, high suspension bikes are recommended for the trails. Equipment and gear rentals are also available. Groups

With all the activities offered throughout the year, groups are always welcome to join in on the fun. Grab ten or more friends, family or coworkers and experience Blue Mountain Resort together. Even better, make it a party! Adventure Parties are available for both the Summit Aerial Park and Outdoor Laser Tag. Here, everyone can enjoy the activities together and add on extra treats like food and drinks.

You can even plan your own special occasions. Whether it’s a wedding, meeting or team building session, they can customize your event. Don’t forget about Blue Mountain’s events throughout the year, too. Find more resources for group and tours and weddings throughout the region.

Outdoor Laser Tag

Try something ‘out’ of the ordinary with Outdoor Laser Tag. This state-of-the-art twist on a classic adrenaline sport is exclusive to Blue Mountain Resort.

Using high-technology equipment outside, you will play your way through extreme competitions. Choose from three different styles of play and get ready for the ultimate-gaming. Ready for even more action? Be sure to find all laser tag locations in the Poconos.

Disc Golf

Another sport offered on-location, and one of the fastest-growing games, is Disc Golf. Strewn about the mountain, select which option is best for you. They offer three courses; one 9-hole course and two 18-hole courses.

If you’re up for more of a challenge, you can sign-up to compete in one of Blue Mountain’s seasonal tournament events. Find more locations where you can disc golf throughout the area.

Summer Camp

Blue Mountain Adventure Camp is just as rewarding for the kids as it is for the parents. Nestled into 250 acres of the Poconos, this co-ed camp program features hands-on experiences as well as character-building activities.

Both day and overnight camps are available during the summer for children ages five to 15. It’s never too early to start planning! Visit our summer camps to register for next year.

Slopeside Pub & Grill

All that activity sure does work up an appetite. Stop into the Slopeside Pub & Grill and refuel with a view! Located along Blue Mountain’s Vista Trail, Slopeside offers American-style fare and specials throughout the week.

Whether sitting inside or out, you will enjoy a delicious meal on the mountain. See everything that's cooking in the Poconos.

Once the seasons turn and the snow falls, hit the slopes for skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing.
