Lehigh Gorge State Park
Rocky cliffside streams surge into waterfalls in the Lehigh Gorge State Park. The park's 33 miles of trails lead to scenic vistas and several waterfalls. For a mild yet memorable experience, eat a picnic lunch to the sounds and sights of Buttermilk Falls, which drops 50 feet over several levels of rocky ledges.
After checking out Buttermilk Falls, continue back downstream to Luke's Falls. Stop on the bridge for a great view of this 50-foot cascade. Dogs are welcome on the trails. For safety reasons, the Glen Onoko Falls Trail is closed to hikers as of May 1, 2019.
Dates of Availability and/or Hours of Operation:
The park is open every day of the year, sunrise to sunset. Day use areas close at dusk.
