About an hour ago, Governor Tom Wolf announced that Pike and Monroe counties will go green next Friday, June 19th. Wayne and Carbon counties entered the green phase today. The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau (PMVB) is pleased that, by next Friday, all four counties that make up our region will be open.
On June 19th, Mount Airy Casino Resort and three of our indoor waterparks will be reopening with safety guidelines and limited capacity restrictions in place. Camelback Resort opened its hotel and some attractions today, with Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark opening next Friday.
“After a challenging few months, our hospitality industry is thrilled with today’s announcement,” said Chris Barrett, Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau President/CEO. “Our resorts, restaurants, shops and attractions are ready to get back to work serving guests once again.”
More than 265 businesses across our region have adopted the ‘Pocono Promise’. By signing the document, businesses voluntarily vow to follow specific safety guidelines to protect residents, employees, and customers as we begin the COVID-19 recovery period.
As businesses across the region begin reopening, updates will be posted on PoconoMountains.com.
