Poconos camping season typically runs from late April to mid-October, and with dozens of locations throughout our four counties, we’ve got a style for everyone. Most area campgrounds are family-owned and spread out across acres of wooded property, providing scenic backdrops and a wide range of bivouacking possibilities. You’ll even find on-site activities like kid-friendly happenings, game rooms, and water recreation at many properties.

Tent Camping Sites

You can't go wrong with a classic! Most campsites in the Poconos are furnished with everything you need for traditional tent camping: a fire ring, picnic table, water and electric, plus technology and restrooms providing hot showers available upon request. Mount Pocono Campground has sites spread across 43 acres and lots of activities to enjoy like a playground, entertainment center, corn hole, croquet, and more. Guests at Cranberry Run Campground can enjoy the fishing pond and swimming pool with a laundry facility onsite, and Four Seasons Campground has a packed calendar with family activities and events. Camp Out Poconos offers tent sites with scenic views and amenities like jacuzzi, games, and live shows.

Riverfront Campsites

Located in Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, Dingmans Campground features riverfront tent sites and an onsite general store with supplies and bike rentals. Kittatinny's River Beach Campground also offers waterfront camping along the Delaware.

Pet-friendly Campsites

Want to "ruff" it with your pooch? Don Laine Campground near Beltzville State Park welcomes pets and offers dog parks and trails on-site. Clayton Park RV Escape on Lake Henry features a leash-free area, while Keen Lake Camping & Cottage Resort has a dedicated pet beach. Up to two dogs can come along for stays in the pet friendly cabins at Delaware Water Gap/Pocono Mountain KOA which is also home to a "Camp K-9." Daily, seasonal, long term and year-round RV sites are available at many area campgrounds. Forgot to stock up your RV cupboards? Most campgrounds have stores for the convenience of tent and RV camping guests alike, offering ice, campfire supplies and snacks, just to name a few items. Pocono Vacation Park is golf cart friendly (electric only) and has full hook-ups, pull throughs, and 50 amp electric sites. Otter Lake Camprounds is a popular spot for RVing with some waterfront sites available on the 60-acre sparkling lake. Chestnut Lake Campground has some of the largest sites in the Poconos and has no limit on RV size. Don’t own an RV but want to try one? Kim’s Cozy Campers in Hawley offers traveling camper rentals.

For many, the word “camping” calls to mind summer camps, and both children and adults can find a variety of exciting summer camp programs in the Poconos. Whether you're looking for a sleep-away camp for the season or planning to host a family reunion, the region's spacious camps offer something for everyone. For over 100 years, Camp Oneka has been providing a classic summer camp experience for girls in the Poconos on the shores of Fairview Lake. Pocono Plateau Camp & Retreat Center offers adventurous programming, traditional activities like crafts, music, and boating, and faith-based opportunities like bible studies and campfire chapels. Campers at Camp Lindenmere can choose their own "Major" and "Minor" to enjoy their favorite activities and pursuits. A private facility with a beautiful location for a wide range of organizations looking to host retreats, Trout Lake can accommodate groups from 35 to 275 people.
