The region's six ski areas have opened for the season with exciting additions and enhancements to discover. Due to changing weather and slope conditions, be sure to consult each ski area's website for the most up-to-date operating hours!

Poconos skiing and snowboarding has begun, and you don’t want to miss the new ski lifts, snowmaking capabilities and ski specials this year. Each resort offers world class learning programs for those who are new to the sport and for those who want a refresher! Whether you're trying skiing or snowboarding for the first time or you've got your own gear ready to go, get ready to head to the mountain. Big Boulder Ski Area

This season: Great grooming and 100% snowmaking at Big Boulder Ski Area mean winter fun for everyone! Skiers will find up to 19 trails to explore, and snowboarders will find the two popular terrain parks ready to go and configured for excellent progression, especially for beginner and intermediate guests. Improve your skills at the Snow Sports Learning Center or enjoy the updated bubly snow tubing park with two carpet lifts. Pro tip: JFBB’s Epic Pass gives you access to both Big Boulder and Jack Frost which means two mountains for the price of one!


Blue Mountain Resort

This season: The home of Pennsylvania's highest vertical, Blue Mountain Resort now has one of the country’s largest snowmaking systems, meaning you can expect exceptional powder all around the mountain, including on the snow tubing hill, with up to 52 lanes, three carpet lifts, and nighttime Sonic Tubing! This year, the popular Trails End run, which is serviced by all lifts, has been renamed Barb’s Way as a nod to Blue Mountain's former owner, Barb Green. You'll also find new rails and jumps on the mountain's five terrain parks plus new food truck and in-lodge dining options.


Camelback Mountain

This season: With 166 acres, 39 trails, and five terrain parks, you'll never get bored skiing or snowboarding at Camelback Mountain, which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year. Check out new eateries, sustainable upgrades and cutting-edge snow depth technology, and effortless shopping using Amazon's Just Walk Out AI technology now enabled at Big Pocono On The Go. Have a blast snow tubing all day and all night on 42 lanes at the top-rated snow tubing park, which glows after dark during Galactic Tubing. Magic Carpet lifts whisk you back to the top for your next run. 


Jack Frost Mountain

This season: Jack Frost Mountain is your ticket to experience the magic of the slopes in the Poconos! Beginners, families, and experts alike will find 20 inviting trails, nine lifts, and a terrain park to explore. This season's improvements include a new snowmaking waterline and new lifts with fixed-grip, four-person chairs to increase uphill capacity and access to multiple slopes. Don’t forget, your JFBB Epic Pass is good at both Jack Frost and its sister resort, Big Boulder.


Shawnee Mountain Ski Area

This season: Families, beginners, and experts will find 100% snowmaking providing fun and challenges on 23 trails at Shawnee Mountain Ski Area this season. Hop on one of the nine lifts, try the two terrain parks, have fun at the newly-enhanced snow tubing park with two snow tubing lifts, or book a lesson at Shawnee’s premier learning center. Little ones will also love the Mini Monster Mountain with new opportunities for snow play.


Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain

This season: Make memories at Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain this winter! Take advantage of skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing as well as on site rentals, with additional boots and skis added this season. With 100% snow making, 18 trails, seven lifts, a terrain park, and two snow tubing lifts, the whole family is sure to have fun. Ski Big Bear's ever-popular lessons are available for adults and children ready to get started on their skiing or snowboarding journey.
