Time to hit the slopes: Pocono Mountains ski season is here! The region's six ski areas have opened for the season with exciting additions and enhancements to discover. Due to changing weather and snow conditions, be sure to consult each ski area's website for the most up-to-date operating hours! Poconos skiing and snowboarding resorts feature fantastic snow making capabilities, ski specials to save money, world class learning programs for those who are new to the sport, snow tubing lanes, great eateries and shops onsite, and so much more! Blue Mountain Resort

This season: The home of Pennsylvania's highest vertical, Blue Mountain Resort has some of the most enhanced snowmaking technology around, meaning you can expect exceptional powder all over the mountain, including on the country's largest snow tubing park, with up to 56 lanes, three carpet lifts, and nighttime Sonic Tubing! Discover the upgraded, energy-efficient lighting while night skiing and boarding, try loaded fries from the Spud Truck, and take advantage of beginner lessons which now include lift ticket and rentals. Don't forget, Blue Mountain is part of the Ikon Pass network and also offers unlimited skiing through the Peak to Peak Pocono Pass.


Camelback Mountain

This season: With 166 acres, 39 trails, and five terrain parks, you'll never get bored skiing or snowboarding at Camelback Mountain. The Peak to Peak Pocono Pass allows unlimited skiing and lift access to both Camelback Resort and Blue Mountain Resort, plus Camelback is part of the Ikon Pass. Sign up for classes at the Ski & Ride Academy, check out eateries like Alta Vida and Trails End Pub & Grille, and enjoy free parking in the general lots. Have a blast snow tubing all day and all night on 42 lanes at their top-rated snow tubing park, which glows after dark with an LED light show. Magic Carpet lifts whisk you back to the top for your next run. Keep the fun going indoors with an overnight stay at the adjacent Camelback Resort & Aquatopia Indoor Waterpark!

This season: Jack Frost Mountain is your ticket to experience the magic of the slopes in the Poconos! Beginners, families, and experts alike will find 20 inviting trails, nine lifts, and a terrain park to explore. Take advantage of the Women's Developmental Program or the Adaptive Program which brings snow sports to individuals with disabilities or special needs. Don’t forget, one lift ticket gives you access to both Jack Frost Mountain and its nearby sister resort, Big Boulder Ski Area. JFBB is also part of Epic Pass, and now the Epic Friend Ticket allows friends of Epic Pass Holders to enjoy lift ticket discounts.

This season: Great grooming and 100% snowmaking at Big Boulder Ski Area mean winter fun for everyone! Skiers will find up to 18 trails to explore, and snowboarders will find the two popular terrain parks ready to go and configured for excellent progression, especially for beginner and intermediate guests. Enjoy evening skiing on the brightly-lit slopes, improve your skills at the Snow Sports Learning Center or spend the day at the bubly snow tubing park with two carpet lifts.


Shawnee Mountain Ski Area

This season: Help Shawnee Mountain Ski Area celebrate 50 years of fun on the slopes! Join the 50th Anniversary Celebration on January 10, 2026 and find out what generations of families, beginners, and experts alike love about Shawnee. Enjoy 100% snowmaking on 23 trails at this season and take advantage of great deals for locals, students, seniors, active-duty military members, and lodging packages at the nearby Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort. Hop on one of the nine lifts, try the two terrain parks, have fun at the snow tubing park with two snow tubing lifts, or book a lesson at Shawnee’s premier learning center. Little ones will also love the Mini Monster Mountain with opportunities for snow play.

This season: Make memories at Ski Big Bear at Masthope Mountain this winter! Take advantage of skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing as well as on site rentals, with 1,600 skis and 500 snowboards available for rental. Continued snow making investments enhance the 100% snow making and 18 trails at Ski Big Bear, with seven lifts, a terrain park, and two snow tubing lifts ensuring the whole family will have a fun day on the mountain. Ski Big Bear's ever-popular lessons are available for adults and children ready to get started on their skiing or snowboarding journey.
