Pocono Patriotic Events set for America 250

Parades, fireworks displays and picnics planned in Poconos

The Pocono Mountains Visitors Bureau (PMVB) is proud to share numerous patriotic events planned in celebration of our country’s 250th year of independence.

Many months of careful planning have led up to this week and weekend throughout the Poconos region.

Monroe County – July 4th 10 a.m.

Celebrate Independence Day at the Monroe County Independence Day Parade. The parade features local history, music, emergency vehicles, and festive entries from across Monroe County. Starting at Stroudsburg High School, the parade will travel along Main Street through downtown Stroudsburg, turning at Kane Street and McConnell Street to cross the bridge into East Stroudsburg and continue up Washington Street, concluding at Dansbury Park. Organizers invite families, friends, and visitors from throughout the region to attend and take part in this historic celebration.

Parade highlights include:

• Patriotic floats from local communities and organizations
• Historical patriots, including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Betsy Ross, and more
• One of America’s oldest steam fire engines: the Stroudsburg Fire Department’s 1871 Steam Pumper
• Marching bands, Celtic Pipe and Drum Corps
• Grand Marshal Pam Depuy, 7th great-granddaughter of Nicholas Depuy, the first European settler at Shawnee-on-the-Delaware in 1727

Following the parade, join the 250th All-American Picnic 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. in East Stroudsburg.

The Eastburg Community Alliance invites you to the 250th All-American Picnic, presented by Nauman Co. - a vibrant community event honoring America’s 250th anniversary. Bring your family, friends, and neighbors to Downtown East Stroudsburg (Crystal Street & Miller Park) for a day filled with food, music, local vendors, and all-American fun as they celebrate our shared history, community spirit, and the future ahead.

This event is part of the Monroe County 250th Celebration. As the parade wraps up, attendees are invited to continue the celebration just steps away at the picnic.

Skytop
Join Skytop for its grand fireworks display on Friday, July 3rd. Fireworks will commence at dusk. This event is open to the public with limited parking beginning at 5 p.m. until 8:45 p.m. Parking is only $10 per car for non-resort guests. Arrive early and enjoy live entertainment beginning at 5 p.m. Concession stand items, food trucks, activities and cash bar available.

Carbon County

Blue Mountain Resort, Pennsylvania's premier mountain destination, will commemorate America's 250th anniversary with a monthlong celebration throughout July, featuring free festivities every Saturday and Sunday that include live music, made-in-America artisan vendors, family-friendly activities, and patriotic programming in the resort's festive courtyard. The celebration will culminate on Saturday, July 25, with a grand all-day event from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., offering extended live entertainment, local vendors, activities for all ages, and a spectacular fireworks display beginning at 9 p.m.

Lehighton – July 4th 9:30 p.m.

Join the Lehighton Downtown Initiative for the biggest fireworks spectacular ever! Celebrating America's 250th Birthday with a dazzling display in the night sky! Award-winning fireworks will start at 9:30 p.m. Please note during the show, you might encounter different traffic patterns.

Pike County – July 4th 12 p.m.

Pike County will celebrate the nation’s 250th anniversary with a Semiquincentennial Parade on July 4, 2026, beginning at 12:00 p.m. in Milford Borough. This lively community celebration will honor America’s independence with patriotic floats, marching bands, and local groups joining together in a festive display of unity and pride. The parade will begin at Ann Street Park and proceed through Milford Borough, passing notable America250PA projects, including the Liberty Tree and the Bells Across PA installation. Following the parade, attend Pike County's 250th Celebration Closing Ceremony at the Milford Community House.

Join The Chamber of the Northern Poconos as well as many supporting community businesses for an unforgettable fireworks display over Lake Wallenpaupack on July 4th. Parking and seating is available at the Wallenpaupack High School. Weather permitting. Rain date is July 5.

Wayne County

Honesdale
This year's Fourth of July celebration in Honesdale on July 3rd is especially significant as the nation commemorates 250 years of America. The historic community event will take place in Downtown Honesdale Central Park and feature expanded entertainment, additional vendors, photo opportunities, family activities, and more. Vendors will open at 1 p.m., followed by live music beginning at 3 p.m. The evening will conclude with a fireworks display from Irving Cliff at dusk, approximately 9:30 p.m., as the community comes together to celebrate this once-in-a-generation milestone. Rain date is July 11.

Hawley
Celebrate Independence Day and America 250 with a good old-fashioned 4th of July Parade and Picnic in downtown Hawley. The parade kicks off at noon, traveling down Main Avenue to Bingham Park. After the parade, head to the park for a festive community picnic. Enjoy free hot dogs, grilled and provided by Paupack Watering Hole, and free live music from The Blend at the bandstand from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Pleasant Mount
Troop 407 hosts the Pleasant Mount Firecracker 5K on the morning of July 4. A parade and festivities at the Pleasant Mount Community Center follow including a ceremony involving the monument to Samuel Meredith.

Lake Ariel
The annual Lake Ariel Volunteer Fire Company fireworks & parade are July 3rd this year in Lake Ariel.

Parade line-up starts at 6 p.m. @ NBT bank on Rt.191. Lake Ariel Fire Company's Volunteers will be serving food and beverage at the Lake Station on Route 191. Fireworks begin at dusk. Rain date July 12.
