You don't have to travel all the way to Europe to take photos against cobblestone streets and beautiful brick Victorian houses. A stroll through historic and photogenic Jim Thorpe leads to one photo op after the next. Book a stay at one of the historic accommodations in town, like The Dolon House below, for even more timeless picture spots.

Brunch Goals in Milford

No Instagram photo shoot is complete without brunch! Pull up a seat at Bar Louis on the porch of the Hotel Fauchère and watch small town life go by in historic Milford.

Dramatic Waterfalls

Waterfalls are must-visit and must-capture sights in the Poconos. Shohola Falls is located right off of Route 6 and can be reached by a short but steep climb down the stone steps near the parking lot. Use slow-mo video mode or a slow shutter speed on your camera for a dramatic shot.

Lakeside Sunset

From the summit to the shore, 150 lakes in the Poconos offer plentiful opportunities to snap the sun rising or setting over the water. With 55 miles of shoreline, Lake Wallenpaupack has plenty of spots to capture an incredible sky reflected in the lake.

Riverside Splendor

When you're out paddling on our 170 river miles, you want to stay focused and practice good water safety; but once you're back on shore, the foliage, hills and water are an ideal frame for an Instagram shot. Explore the Delaware River with Lander's River Trips, then snap a photo with your colorful kayak and oar before you pack up.

Tranquil Mountaintop Vistas

Hiking to the summit of one of our mountains is an experience you won't forget - and one you'll want to photograph! Many of the region's trails lead to incredible panoramic views, such as the Cliff Trail, pictured below, which winds along Raymondskill Ridge overlooking the Delaware River.
